Meet the current slate of our Board of Directors
Jody Chapman

Jody Chapman President

Jody is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and currently the Executive Director of Fairy Glen Day Care Centre in Durham Region. Jody’s numerous years of experience have benefited the early childhood community. Jody joined DRCCF in 2004 and served as Vice President from 2005 - 2008. She assumed the position of President in 2008. Jody has chaired the DRCCF Professional Education Committee, Conference Committee, co-chaired Raising the Bar Committee in 2011 - 2013, and has been actively involved in several ad-hoc committees during her tenure.
Lynn Brennan

Lynn Brennan Vice President

Lynn Brennan is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience in the Child Care field.  Lynn is the General Manager with the YMCA Child and Family Development in Durham Region.  She participates in a number of child care committees across the Region with a goal of increasing the quality of child care for children, families and staff.
Denise Cashley

Denise Cashley Secretary-Treasurer

Denise holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child Studies and a post graduate diploma in Assessment and Counselling from the University of Toronto. She has worked with Resources for Exceptional Children and Youth - Durham Region for over 25 years and became Executive Director in 2011. Denise is involved in a variety of community initiatives including co-chair of Durham’s Best Start Network.
Jennifer Hughes

Jennifer Hughes Director

Jennifer Hughes is a Registered Early Childhood Educator who has been in the field for over 25 years. She is the Executive Director of P.R.Y.D.E Learning centres Inc. Jennifer joined the DRCCF board of Directors in 2015.
Rosemary Hamilton

Rosemary Hamilton Director

Rosemary Hamilton is an RECE that has been in the field over 40 years. She has a passion for lifelong learning. Rosemary is the Director of Stonemoor Daycare Centre.
Heather Mott

Heather Mott Director

Heather Mott has worked in the early learning field for over 18 years as an RECE, a site supervisor, currently as a program manager at Fairy Glen Day Care Centres. She has been an active member of the DRCCF since 2006 and has held the position of vice president, Child Care Conference Chair and currently sits on the Professional Education and Training Committee.
Heather Cook

Heather Cook Director

Heather Cook graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program at Durham College and has worked in the childcare field for 28 years. Heather is currently the Executive Director at Kids’ Campus Child Care Centre that offers services to children between the ages of 0 – 12 years of age. Heather has been a member of the Durham Regional Child Care Forum since 2006.
Susan Hartwell

Susan Hartwell Director

Susan is a professor at Durham College in the Early Childhood Education program. She has completed her ECE diploma and a BSc degree at Trent University. Susan has several years work experience with children in a variety of capacities. Positions she has fulfilled include working in day cares, nursery schools, elementary schools, community based programs and in-home programs with children who have special needs.
Lisa Carson

Lisa Carson Director

Lisa is an RECE, working in the child care field for 25+ years. Lisa is the Director at Edukids Child Care Centre-Uxbridge. Lisa joined the DRCCF in 2004, serving as the Co-Chair of the Professional Education and Training Committee until 2015 and continues to participate on the committee.
Lauren Goldsmith

Lauren Goldsmith Director

Lauren Goldsmith is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and the Executive Director of Planning and Staff Development with Edukids Child Care Centres. Lauren holds a Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in Child Youth and Family Studies from the University of Guelph, and a Masters of Education from the University of Toronto. She is a co-chair of the DRCCF Professional Education Committee, the DRCCF Conference Chairperson, and an active member of the child care community.
Roxanne Lambert

Roxanne Lambert Ex-Officio Member

Roxanne Lambert is a Registered Early Childhood Educator. She works as the Director of Children’s Services Division for the Regional Municipality of Durham, and has the responsibility for planning, managing and funding the early learning and child care system for the Region as the designated Consolidated Municipal Service Manager. Roxanne has been dedicated to supporting children, families and the early learning and child care community by participating on various committees. She provides leadership to Durham’s Best Start Network and seeks opportunities to facilitate community collaborations and partnerships. Since 2004, Roxanne has served in an ex-officio capacity at the DRCCF Executive Committee.
