The Durham Region Child Care Forum believes that early learning and child care professionals benefit from professional development throughout their working lives. An educated, relevant, and professional workforce improves the community’s capacity to provide quality early learning and child care. With that in mind, the DRCCF has continued to provide Durham’s child care community with the opportunity to participate in a local professional conference since 2005. Over the years the conference has grown and has become an anticipated event for many child care professionals across the Region. The annual conference provides child care professionals the opportunity to discuss relevant topics as well as to connect and learn from other community members.

The DRCCF Conference committee is comprised of a variety of members from the Durham community ensuring diverse perspectives. The Committee works throughout the year to bring the conference to life, requiring approximately four committee meetings annually. The roles of the committee are to confirm presenters/key note address, and plan for the daylong event. All committee members are expected to contribute to the venue set up, and the conference event.
